Fire in listed building in Artherstrasse

A fire broke out in a listed building in Zug late Monday night/Tuesday morning. The emergency services were quickly alerted by an automatic fire detector in an office building on the Artherstrasse.

Thanks to the quick intervention, the flames were prevented from spreading to the entire attic area, and the smouldering fires could be extinguished, according to the media information provided by the Zug law enforcement agencies on early Tuesday morning. In order to protect the listed building, the debris from the fire was packed into boxes and was brought into the open air using a mobile turntable ladder.

The fire brigade was quickly on site.

The Zug police reported that nobody was injured. The cause of the fire was still unclear, but preliminary investigations indicate a possible technical defect, and the damage to the building cannot yet be quantified. The Artherstrasse was temporarily closed while the fire was tackled.
