The heavy rain caused flooding in basements, laundry rooms, offices, and in motorway underpasses, with the most affected municipalities being Baar, Cham, Steinhausen, and Hünenberg.
The Baar fire brigade had to remove a fallen tree from a road, and fire brigades from the affected municipalities, as well as the Zug Volunteer Fire Brigade (FFZ: Freiwilligefeuerwehr Zug), had to be deployed following a significant accumulation of water in an underpass on the A4 motorway near Rotkreuz.
The law enforcement authorities have stated that no information is available as yet regarding the extent of property damage in the canton.
