Fire brigade called out in Baar due to burned food

In Friday evening, shortly after 8.15 p.m., a resident in a neighbouring house on the Mühlegasse called the emergency number of the Zug Police because she had noticed an unusual smell and saw smoke escaping from a neighbouring house.

The Baar fire brigade Baar was one of the first emergency services to arrive at the scene, and entered the apartment wearing respiratory protection. A frying pan with charred food was found on the stove in the kitchen, while the 31-year-old resident was sleeping in an adjoining room. She was awakened by the firefighters and brought to safety.

As there was a suspicion of smoke poisoning, the woman was then taken to hospital by the Zug Rescue Service. Members of the Baar fire brigade, the Zug Rescue Service Zug and the Zug police were involved in the action.
