Fire ban lifted in the woods and near the woods

The rainfall in the past few days has defused the risk of forest fires in the canton of Zug. The fire ban in the woods and near the woods imposed on 21 April will therefore be lifted, and the danger level has been downgraded from "large" to "moderate".

The rainfall of the past few days has led to a relaxation of the risk of forest fires, and further rainfall is forecast for the coming days. According to the press release of the Building Insurance and the Fire Department on Friday, the danger level has therefore been downgraded from "large" to "moderate".

The lighting of fires in the woods and outside the woods must still always be done with the necessary caution, however. If you follow the following rules, you can help to avoid forest fires:

A big thank you to the population for the consistent adherence to the fire ban and the understanding shown. Thanks to this disciplined behaviour and the increased readiness of the fire brigades, the canton of Zug has been spared from forest and field fires, despite the drought of the past weeks.
