Ivana Wey was the game's top scorer with one goal and three assists. Annika Fazokas and Noemi Neubauerová each scored twice.

After trailing 1-2 in the first period, coach Daniela Diaz's team put on a near-perfect performance in the second period, playing with a wind chill of minus 10 degrees Celsius. After 40 minutes, the score was 7-2 for EVZ in front of almost 500 fans. This impressive victory avenges the last encounter between the two teams, which SCB won 2-1 in mid-November at the OYM Hall.
