Driver crashes into traffic lights

A driver crashed into the post of a traffic signal while carrying out a turning manoeuvre. She was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

On Sunday, 3. November 2019, at around 4.15 p.m., a car driver at the Chamerstrasse / Poststrasse intersection crashed into the post of a traffic signal while turning, according to a report from the Zug Police. The 28-year-old woman was slightly injured, and was transferred to the hospital by the Zug ambulance service. An alcohol breath test carried out on the spot was positive, and the prosecutor of the Canton of Zug ordered a blood test at the hospital.

Because oil leaked from the accident car, employees of the road maintenance service were also on duty to clean the carriageway, as well as employees of a private towing company for the removal of the damaged vehicle.
