Cyclist suffers life-threatening injuries

A cyclist fell on the road for reasons that are not yet known. She was flown to a hospital in a neighbouring canton by the REGA rescue helicopter.

According to the press release of the Zug law enforcement authorities today, the accident occurred on Monday evening, November 30, at around 7.30 p.m. on the "Obere Rainstrasse" in the municipality of Neuheim. For reasons not yet known, a 40-year-old female cyclist fell on the road, thereby suffering life-threatening injuries.

After initial medical treatment by the Zug Ambulance Service, the woman was flown to a hospital in a neighbouring cantonby the REGA rescue helicopter.

Call for witnesses
As the exact cause of the accident is unclear, witnesses are being sought. Anyone who witnessed the fall of the cyclist, or who can provide valuable information about the accident is asked to contact the Zug Police Operations Control Centre on 041 728 41 41.

Employees of the Zug Ambulance Service, the REGA rescue flight and the Zug police were on duty.
