Cyclist injured in clash

There was a clash between two cyclists on the Chamer Cycle Path. A 9-year-old boy was injured, but the second party left the accident site. The police are looking for witnesses.

The accident occurred on Sunday evening, 8 December, between 6:15 and 6:30 pm on the Chamer Cycle Path, according to a report by the Zug police. A 9-year-old boy was cycling out of town together with his older sister. By the tennis courts on Riedmattweg, the boy collided head-on with an oncoming cyclist. The two fell to the ground, and the boy remained unconscious for a short time, reports the Zug police. "The cyclist, who was on a racing bike, got up, remounted her bicycle and left the scene of the accident without further ado." According to the statements of the two children, she was wearing a pink headband at that time. The boy then went home with his sister, complaining of pain, whereupon his father drove him to the hospital.

Anyone who can provide information on the unknown cyclist is requested to contact the operational control centre of the Zug police (041 728 41 41). In particular, the racing cyclist involved in the accident is asked to contact the police herself. A man who helped the two children immediately after the collision is also sought.
