Curious, funny and mysterious pieces
Robi Fischli and Nadja Zürcher have organised an indoor Christmas market, and are offering utility and gift items with a special flair.
"I could stay here for hours," said Esther Stämpfli from Rotkreuz, as she paid a visit to the "Holzdeko" in Bösch 73 in Hünenberg on Saturday. "For hours", because there are countless curious, funny and mysterious utility and gift articles to discover, made of wood, leather, glass and metal – with individual engraving. Roli Fischli, who has been innovatively running "Holzdeko" with Nadja Zürcher since the beginning of the current year, explains: "We create unique pieces from different types of wood.”
“In cooperation with other product manufacturers, we design decorative pieces that radiate a personal touch." The unique pieces are refined with the in-house laser and engraving machine, whereby Robi Fischli puts the wishes of his customers into practice. "Photos, sayings, birthday greetings and so on are engraved on items we have made or items brought by customers and made from the materials mentioned above." They would be happy to advise any company owners or a hospitality company on the implementation of innovative projects.

"Ideal Supplement"
Robi Fischli and Nadja Zürcher work closely with the companies from which they source their raw material. And they exhibit together with other creative companies. For example, with a motorcycle shop from Alpnach, which produces works of art from metal, and with Daniel Windlin from Baar, whose creates impressive, high-quality works from various leathers. Whether it's bracelets or collars that adorn a person or an animal, or placemats that give a home or an exclusive restaurant a special flair, everything is done to perfectlion. Robi Fischli emphasizes: "Working together and the joint exhibition of high-quality works of art made of leather and metal complements is the perfect supplement to the "Holzdeko."
In the so-called "Flohmarkt Eggä" (flea market corner), you can find used wooden decoration articles and curiosities, which Fischli buys from all over Switzerland and upgrades in his workshop.
Cosy chat in the Holzdeko-Kafi
Those who are tired of shopping, or who would like to treat themselves to a break with a cosy chat are in good hands in the Holzdeko-Kafi (Wood decoration café). Nadja Zürcher, who ran the Adler restaurant in Allenwinden with Robi Fischli for five years, offers guests a fortifying coffee, a cool Baarer beer, a glass of wine or a cold platter.
The indoor Christmas market of "Holzdeko" will also be open on Saturday, 5th December and Sunday, 6th December from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
