Corona tests in school classes turn out negative

After two schoolchildren in Cham tested positive for the new corona mutation, the tests of their classmates and teachers have turned out to be negative. Their quarantine thereby ends on Saturday, 23 January.

After it became known on Tuesday, 19 January, that two Cham schoolchildren had contracted the new corona mutation, the Zug cantonal doctor, Rudolf Hauri, ordered that all pupils and teachers of the affected school classes must be tested for Covid.

The test results received by the children and teachers were all negative, as announced by the Health Directorate of the Canton of Zug on Friday, 22 January. According to the FOPH regulations, the students and teachers must remain in quarantine until Saturday, 23 January, despite the negative test result. From next week, face-to-face classes can be resumed. It will also being determined whether further tests may be necessary for contact persons, according to the statement.
