Collision when changing lanes on motorway

A driver collided with a delivery van while carrying out a change of lane on the A114 motorway. The person who caused the accident was injured in the collision.

At 9:00 am on Friday (24 June 2022), there was a collision between a car and a delivery van at the Rotkreuz/Küssnacht exit on the A14 motorway, in the direction of Cham,. The accident occurred when a 73-year-old driver wanted to exit the motorway from the overtaking lane in the construction site area in Rotkreuz. When changing lanes, his car collided sideways with the van.

The person who caused the accident was slightly injured in the accident. The Zug Ambulance Service looked after the man, and then transported him to hospital for further medical checks.

The two vehicles suffered a total loss of around CHF 15,000, and had to be towed away from the scene. The trailer of the delivery van, which was loaded with wood, was picked up by the company itself. The accident led to various traffic disruptions in the morning traffic.
