On Friday, December 6, at 1:45 pm, a delivery van and a car collided in Rotkreuz at the Blegistrasse / Birkenstrasse junction. According to the report from the Zug police, the 88-year-old car driver overlooked the delivery van when driving from Birkenstrassen onto the Blegistrasse. "The driver who apparently caused the accident suffered serious injuries in the heavy collision, while the 43-year-old driver of the delivery van was slightly injured," writes the Zug police. The two injured persons were taken to hospital by the Zug rescue services, and the total damage to both vehicles in the accident amounts to around CHF 60,000. The vehicles had to be moved from the scene by a private towing company. The maintenance service of the Risch municipality was called in to clean up the road.
