City awarded gold medal for its energy concept

The city of Zug has been awarded a gold medal under the European Energy Awards scheme, and indeed for the third successive year.

It is not surprising, therefore, that Urs Raschle, who is responsible for social, environmental and security matters, said how proud the council was for the city to have been commended in this way, and in a project very much supported by the local population. In fact in achieving 82.2 per cent of the top possible score, Zug was one of the top ten cities gaining such a distinction.
