Cham restaurant up for sale

The Sternen restaurant in Cham is up for sale. The prominently located property with 7.5 rooms on the corner of the Zugerstrasse and the Knonauerstrasse is listed on the Comparis platform for a price of only CHF 1.48 million.

‘The property offers great potential for conversion and a wide range of uses. It would be possible to convert the property into two apartments with a commercial space on the ground floor,’ the advertisement states.

The Sternen is one of the last remaining examples of Cham's once rich pub culture. According to the advertisement, the building was constructed in 1903, although Chamapedia claims that a restaurant had been operating there for much longer. It is primarily associated with the Küng family, who ran the establishment from 1967 to 2002.

The Chinese restaurant Bambus, which is now-closed, opened in the Sternen building in 2008.
