Café Brändle in now under new ownership
Adél and Thomas Brändle have announced that they are closing Café Brändle in Unterägeri, with effect from Monday, 29th September.
The reason is a sad one: following the loss of their son Fabian last year, they are ‘no longer able to meet the demands of running the business.’ Their employees have ‘supported and helped them greatly over the past difficult months.’ The existing employees Heidi Furrer, Sonja Meier and Sandra Pretali will continue to run the business. ‘All the jobs at the café will be retained.’

The outgoing owners also stated: ‘It has been a pleasure to host so many people from the valley, the canton and the wider area.’ Yvonne and Karl Brändle took over what was then Café Guler in 1971, and established it as Café Brändle in Unterägeri and beyond.
The re-opening under the new management will take place on Tuesday 7th October.
The opening hours will be:
Tuesday to Friday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
