Burglary at a shop on the Bahnhofstrasse

Unknown perpetrators forcibly gained access to a shop on the Bahnhofstrasse in Zug and stole numerous smartphones worth around CHF 40,000.

According to the press release of the Zug law enforcement authorities, the burglary occurred on the night of Friday, July 3, just before 3.30 a.m. The unknown perpetrator forcibly gained access to a shop on the Bahnhofstrasse in the city of Zug by smashing a window. The perpetrators had already left the shop with their loot before the first emergency services arrived on the scene. The investigation that was subsequently launched has been unsuccessful so far. A number of smartphones with a total value of around CHF 40,000 were stolen during the burglary.

The Zug police are asking the public for help. Anyone who can provide information on the perpetrators or who made any suspicious observations in the area of the Bahnhofstrasse, Gartenstrasse or Poststrasse in the city of Zug at the time of the crime is asked to contact the Zug Police Operations Control Centre (telephone 041 728 41 41).
