Bossard Arena to continue to be called Bossard Arena until 2025

According to an announcement from the City of Zug, the Bossard AG company in Zug has exercised its option to extend the naming contract for cover the period from 1 August 2020 to 31 July 31 2025. The extension is part of the contract concluded in 2010 for the naming rights of the ice stadium, which had just been completed at the time. The extension option and the conditions have already been agreed, and the City of Zug is happy to retain the established stadium name “Bossard Arena”. As agreed in the basic contract, the revenues from this flow back to the building and/or the maintenance and renewal of the technical facilities of the ice rink. Both top-class sport and visitors will benefit from this.

“The City thanks Bossard AG for their many years of commitment – to sport and to other major projects in the region. With this contract extension, Bossard AG confirms the positive effect of the naming rights for the good reputation of the company,” adds the announcement.

The City of Zug and Bossard AG are aware of the importance of EVZ as an image bearer for the city. The sporting and economic development of the EVZ is directly related to the new ice rink created ten years ago, and this partnership with the ice hockey club should be maintained.
