Body discovered in Lake Zug
Zug police recovered the body of a lifeless man from Lake Zug on Tuesday. The 38-year-old asylum seeker had already been missing for ten days, writes “41 Media.”

Around midday on Tuesday, the body of a man was discovered in Lake Zug, as Zug police stated in a press release. Shortly before 1 p.m., the operations control center received a report from a passerby that a lifeless person was floating in the water near the casino in the city of Zug. Investigations revealed that the deceased was a 38-year-old asylum seeker.
According to the statement, the circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated under the direction of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton of Zug. Based on current findings, there are no indications of a violent crime or third-party involvement.
The Turkish news portal “41 Media” had already reported on the discovery of the man on Wednesday. According to the report, he had been missing for ten days. This was stated by friends of the deceased, with whom he is said to have lived for around two years in the asylum center at the former cantonal hospital.
The deceased is said to have been of Kurdish origin. His friends assume suicide. According to “41 Media,” he occasionally made statements such as: “If I do not receive a residence permit, my body will go to Turkey.” The friends organized a small memorial gathering for the 38-year-old at the asylum center.
