Alphorn concert at the Coop on "Good Deed Day"
The atmosphere in the Coop supermarket in Unterägeri was a little different from usual on Saturday, 30th May.
Seven women with alphorns stood by the entrance, with a table displaying traditional costumes, brochures, and alphorn mouthpieces - the mouthpieces in particular attracted quite some attention. Anyone who was interested could try playing the alphorn, or to at least attempt to coax a sound from the instrument.

The Fraueschüehli women's alphorn group from Morgarten, led by President Martha Röllin, is the only all-female alphorn group in Central Switzerland. Playing in various formations, they performed chorales and alphorn pieces, filling not only the entrance, but the entire Coop with their music, reaching even the furthest corners.
It was a day of good deeds (Tag der guten Tat), and it turned out to be a day full of interesting conversations and many happy faces.
