A number of collisions in the morning traffic

There were several traffic accidents on Monday morning. In addition, three people were injured in various workplace accidents.

A rear-end collision occurred on the A14 motorway between Gisikon and Rotkreuz shortly before 6 am on Monday morning. A 29-year-old motorist crashed into the rear of a delivery van that was standing in the overtaking lane with its hazard warning lights on due to a flat tyre.

The 31-year-old driver of the delivery van was thereby slightly injured and had to be taken to hospital. Both vehicles had to be towed away.

At almost the same time, there was a side-on collision between two cars on the same stretch of road. One of the parties involved left the scene of the accident, however, and the police have now launched an investigation.

There was a single-vehicle accident on the Zug/Baar bypass (Tangente) shortly after 8.30 am: a 47-year-old motorist hit the boundary wall due to a fogged-up windscreen. Fortunately, no-one was injured.

In addition to the traffic accidents, there were also three accidents at work in the canton of Zug.

A 29-year-old roofer fell on a construction site in Hagendorn (Cham) and injured his leg, while a 49-year-old construction worker suffered serious injuries in the Herti district of Zug, when he fell from a height of four metres. In addition, a 38-year-old craftsman injured himself while dismantling an exhibition stand at the Zug Exhibition Centre, and also had to be taken to hospital.
