56-year-old pedestrian sustains life-threatening injuries after being hit by car

A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries after being hit by car on Saturday morning.

The incident happened near the “Ländli” Kurhaus on Morgartenstrasse in the municipality as the 56-year-old was on a pedestrian crossing. Unfortunately, a 20-year-old driver failed to notice him in time, leading to the pedestrian sustaining life-threatening injuries, as mentioned. He was duly flown by a Rega rescue helicopter to hospital.

The 20-year-old duly had his licence confiscated and can expect to hear from the Prosecution Service.

As a result of the accident, Morgartenstrasse had to be closed for one hour, which led to congestion to build up.
