500th baby born at the Andreas Clinic

Hercules Poseidon was born in the Andreas Clinic on December 17, and the clinic now expects more than 500 births by the end of the year. The last time that more than 500 babies were born in one year in Cham was 2016.

The parents and the team of the Andreas Clinic in Cham were happy about the birth of Hercules Poseidon at 8.28 a.m. on 17 December 2021. His birth weight was 4,060 grams and he has a height of 52 centimetres. Both the newly-born and the mother are well, says the clinic. The Andreas Clinic in Cham now expects a record number of births by the end of 2021, compared to previous years. More than 500 babies a year were last born in one year in Cham in 2016.

"The continuous increase within the last few years confirms that the Andreas-Klinik Cham Zug is appreciated as a maternity clinic in the Zug region and the surrounding area," writes the clinic. As a primary care provider in the canton of Zug, expectant parents are offered a family atmosphere in a personal setting. "It’s very important to us to respond to the individual needs and expectations of the expectant mother and parents. Close care is our top priority," says Ursula Thonhauser, head of the maternity department.
