4-year-old girl dies in hospital after bathing accident
A four-year-old girl had to be rescued from the non-swimmer pool in the Lättich last week,
On Tuesday evening. 14 June, a girl had an accident in the Lättich outdoor pool. The four-year-old had to be resuscitated, and was then flown by the Rega to a hospital in a neighbouring canton. Eight days later, on the evening of 22 June, the girl died in hospital, according to a report from the Zug Police.

The investigation into the circumstances of the bathing accident is ongoing.
The six vital bathing rules of the SLRG (Swiss Lifesaver Society)
- Only allow children near water if supervised – young children should be kept within arm's reach!
- Never enter the water if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Never swim on a full or very empty stomach.
- Never jump into the water if your are overheated. Your body needs time to adjust.
- Do not jump into murky or unknown areas of water. The unknown can be dangerous.
- Airbeds and swimming aids should not be used in deep water. They do not offer any protection.
- Never swim long distances alone . Even the best swimmer can experience an attack of weakness.
