36-year-old woman with 4-year-old child on board caught driving under the influence of alcohol

A 36-year-old woman with her 4-year-old child on board was found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol on the A14 motorway on Saturday afternoon.

The woman was driving towards Zug when, just after noon, and just after the Gisikon access road, she lost control over her vehicle and crashed several times into direction signs, causing damage to them as well as her car, damage which, in all, amounted to several thousands of francs in all. Fortunately, neither the driver nor the child was injured.

When police arrived on the scene and breathalysed her, she was found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol, as mentioned, and duly had her licence confiscated there and then.

Of note is that, while this part of the motorway is not actually on Zug territory, it is patrolled by the Zug police force.
