26-year-old ordered from erotic shop in the name of his ex-girlfriend

A man from Kosovo living in Zug insulted his former girlfriend several times, and had lubrication gel sent to her that he had ordered in her name, and for which she was supposed to pay. A bad joke? No – it’s actually a criminal offence.

The Zug Public Prosecutor's Office convicted a 26-year-old from the canton of Zug for insulting behaviour and falsifying documents at a minor level. 30 daily rates of CHF 40.00 (a total of CHF 1,200) as an unconditional fine, plus a CHF 400 in court fees.

The reason for the penalty order against the carpenter was his behaviour towards a former lover: at the end of March 2020, he wrote to her four times saying that she was a slut. At one point, he also called her a whore. A few weeks earlier, he created a customer account at an erotic shop using the e-mail address of his ex-girlfriend. Using her name and at her cost, he ordered erotic articles, such as glide cream, for around CHF 130 to be sent to her address – with the aim of "causing her problems and annoyance" as the prosecutor's office puts it.
