25 years of Oesch's die Dritte

The cheerfully musical family group from canton Bern will present their new record in the Ägerihalle.

Everything started on a small scale 25 years ago for the family Oesch from Thun in the Bernese Oberland. They made music together, and occasionally performed together in small-scale local settings. Things picked up in the mid-1990s, however: through appearances on regional, and later national television, the wider population became aware of the Oesch's. A first CD was released, and a first stage appearances abroad soon followed.

The big moment was finally their performance on the well-known Musikantenstadl in 2007. The Oesch's were suddenly known everywhere in the German-speaking world, and were invited to make numerous additional guest appearances. They took third place at the Grand Prix of Folk Music 2008, and their album "Jodelzauber" received several awards.

Anniversary tour with stop in the Aegeri valley
Oesch's the Third are characterised by their catchy, pleasing folk music style, which is handmade from the ground up. And it’s precisely this way of making music to which the cheerful Bernese remain true on their new album: "25 years of Oesch's die Dritte – Es Fescht" is the name of their melodious anniversary release, which the Oesch's are now presenting on their Swiss tour.

Their journey is also taking them to the Aegeri valley in canton Zug, where the musical family will perform in the Ägerihalle next Friday, 7 October,. The Oesch's will be supported by the Schüpferi-Meitli. And to make sure that music is not the only thing on the menu, the event is accompanied by a culinary offer.
