19-year-old ends up with his car on its side

A young driver lost control of his vehicle, crashed into a tree and came to a halt lying on its side over the bed of a stream. Fortunately, no-one was injured in the incident.

A 19-year-old lost control of his car at around 1 a.m. on Sunday night. As the Zug Police report in a press release, the young driver was travelling on the Schochenmühlestrasse from Baar in the direction of Zug at a massively excessive speed, according to his own statements. He then lost control of the vehicle on a right-hand bend, veered into the oncoming lane, oversteered and then crashed into a tree on the right-hand side of the road.

The collision caused the car to spin sideways, slide over the embankment and finally come to a standstill on the right-hand side of the vehicle above the bed of the Alte Lorze stream and the Zanggenrütiweg. The driver and his three passengers, aged between 17 and 19, were able to get out of the vehicle on their own and, fortunately, no-one was injured. The car, however, was a total write-off.
