160 Nations – Our City
Zug is international: 160 nations live here. Many of them could be seen in more detail on Saturday at the lakeside promenade. This diversity wasn't just visible at the Festival of Nations in Zug's old town by the lake at the weekend – it was truly lived.
In the morning, the volunteers were still standing in the rain, preparing for the event. But right on schedule at noon, the sun came out, and with it, the people. Music, dance, culinary specialties, and countless encounters transformed the Zug Lake Promenade into a vibrant meeting place.
This festival was made possible by the many clubs and dedicated individuals who contributed their time, culture, and passion. This marked the third time the Festival of Nations has been held. The event was organised by the Zug Office for Migration (FMZ) in collaboration with more than 30 cultural and migration associations: the Letzibuzäli Guild thereby had the honour of representing Switzerland – with tradition, heartfelt enthusiasm, and a generous dose of Zug conviviality.

Such events are incredibly important for clubs and associations. They bring people together, make traditions tangible, and contribute to ensuring that our club life remains vibrant and can continue into the future. The Festival of Nations once again demonstrated how colourful, open, and vibrant Zug is. It was a joyful celebration of diversity, dialogue, and community spirit by people from a wide variety of backgrounds who live in the canton of Zug. The Festival of Nations offered a culinary and cultural world tour.
