150 people at the Women's Strike in Zug

The annual 'Frauenstreik' took place in Zug on Saturday. This has taken place since 2019.

According to the organisers of the Frauenstreik (Women’s Strike), around 150 people gathered in Zug on Saturday, 14th June, to demonstrate for the rights of so-called Finta persons (women (Frauen), inter, non-binary, trans and agender persons) under the slogan ‘Zäme hässig!’ (Together we’re angry!). The march led from the upper Postplatz via the Bahnhofstrasse to the Aabachstrasse and back again.

The demonstration focused on demands that have been formulated since 2019 and ‘have lost none of their relevance to this day,’ according to the press release. Particular emphasis was placed on the number of femicides: there have already been 15 such killings in Switzerland in the first six months of this year.
