Village festival in Steinhausen cancelled

The Zug Music Festival, a Grümpelturnier (local football matches), the anniversary festival of the Ludothek and a trade exhibition: the summer of 2023 before and after the holidays is packed with various events in Steinhausen. "This in itself pleasing fact has led to the fact that the necessary resources for the organisation of a village festival (Dorffest) are lacking among the requested associations and groups," writes the Steinhausen municipality on Thursday. As a result, the village festival cannot take place in 2023. The event usually takes place in the summer months of June and July.

The municipal council (Gemeinderat) regrets this, but can understand the reasons very well. "At the same time, we are pleased and grateful that many events take place in Steinhausen, often based on private initiative, which contribute to an active and varied village life," it continues.
