Toss it? No way!

So many things get thrown away when, very often, they only need repairing. The problem is, where does one go to get things mended? On 16 Saturdays in 2025, in different locations in the canton Zug a Repair Café is being set up at. So don’t throw away that toy, toaster, item of clothing or furniture, lamp or mixer, just because they have some minor defect. Volunteer experts will be on hand to repair these items between 10 am and 3 pm. You can make a donation for the work and any new parts fitted have to be paid for. The idea for these Repair-Cafés came from the Netherlands originally. Now they have been set up in a number of Swiss towns. The other good thing is that, while you wait, you can enjoy a cup of coffee.
