Zugerberg ice rink open again

Ten days after the warm weather forced its closure for safety reasons, the Löschweiher ice rink has been reopened to the public. Experts from Zug Police carried out measurements on Thursday afternoon on the rink at the top of the Zugerberg and stated that the ice surface was thick enough for public access.

 

With the Herti ice rink out of commission due to the building of the new ice hockey stadium, the Löschweiher was the only rink available to the general public in Zug. Its reopening is therefore good news for leisure skaters in the area.

 

Other surfaces which are iced over are still closed to the public and should not be used under any circumstances since they are not safe. Any changes to the situation will be communicated in the Zug Polic ice bulletin.
