Young postwoman sustains life-threatening injuries

A young postwoman sustained life-threatening injuries after she was involved in a collision with a vehicle in the city on Friday evening.

The incident occurred shortly after 5.15 pm as the 24-year-old approached the Aabachstrasse-Allmendstrasse roundabout on her electric tricycle.

For reasons yet unknown, she veered on to the wrong side of the road leading her to collide with an oncoming vehicle.

While the occupants of this car escaped injury, the postwoman was flown to a hospital beyond the cantonal boundary by helicopter.
