Vacuum cleaner thief finally caught

Between 13 to 20 October 2018, a 35-year-old Italian stole a total of six vacuum cleaners of the Dyson brand from two outlets in the city of Zug. He then sold them to private individuals.

The vacuum cleaners had a value of around 2,400 francs. A further attempted theft failed because the man was recognised by the sales staff. He then took flight without stealing anything, as reported by Frank Kleiner, the spokesman for the Zug law enforcement agencies.

Thanks to the investigations of the Zug police, the vacuum cleaner thief was arrested on Tuesday, December 11, at his home in Steinhausen. He has confessed to the robberies, and will now appear before the public prosecutor of the Canton of Zug.
