Two injured in head on car collision

Shortly after 8.30 a.m. Tuesday morning., approximately 150 meters before the Schmittli,  a 23 year old driver travelling up the Kantonsstrasse towards Unterägeri suddenly veered into the opposite lane, directly in front of a vehicle which was descending the hill. The driver of the descending vehicle attempted to avoid the collision by veering to the left but could not prevent the frontal collision. 
The passengers in the descending vehicle, 30 and 42 year old men, were briefly treated at the scene of the accident and then taken to hospital. According to the Zuger police they were released after a short time. The accident was caused by inattentiveness, according to the police. The 23 year old explained that he was just adjusting the ventilation in his car at the time of the accident. The descending vehicle suffered total loss and damages are in the tens of thousands. One lane of the Kantonsstrasse was closed for 90 minutes.
