Tax relief for families and the middle class – the CVP (Christian Volks Party) doesn’t want to wait for tax reforms in the year 2011. Kantonsrat Gregor Kupper (Neuheim) handed in a Postulate wherein it is being demanded that at least half of the surplus revenue for 2008 (it is expected to be a two-digit million amount) will be returned to the people of Zug. “The surplus is mostly from natural persons and so it makes sense to return it to natural persons” says Kupper. In so doing, the middle class and families would benefit and the economy would get a boost “because it can be expected that a large part of the money would flow back into the system”. Details on how to handle the refunds would be up to the government.
