Police catch Sprayers

If they had kept to just smearing walls, the police may never have found them. However, the two Zuger adolescents, age 16 and 17, began to commit other crimes: In August 2008 they burglarized a bicycle shop in Hünenberg and stole several bicycles and left apparently telltale signs. In any case, the police were able to arrest the two boys a short time later, as has become known only now.

A stencil of a rose gave them away
The police found various spray utensils in their possession, as well as a rose stencil. The police recognized the rose pattern immediately – it had been used several times in spraying graffiti in the city of Zug. In the course of the investigation it turned out that the two, together with another colleague, were responsible for altogether 41 graffiti spraying incidents.
The juveniles confessed and will have to answer to the law. In addition, they (or probably their parents) will have to cover the total damages, which amount to over 40,000 francs.
