Outdoor café planned for lakeside
The Alpenquai ship embarkation point in Zug is to be developed and renovated, with the kiosk being replaced by an outdoor café-style seating area for 56 people. The driving force behind the project is the future tenant of the area, namely the well known local bakery and confectionery specialist Peter Speck, who is planning to set up an ice-cream café complete with covered seating and disables toilets. Twelve tables will be installed, facing the lake and alongside the steps leading down to the jetty.
Building work is currently well underway and staying within the planned time-scale, says Regula Kaiser, project manager from the municipal construction office. The new plans will be available for consultation at the municipal construction office until 4 February, with the new pavilion scheduled to open on 19 March.
