There has been a debate lately about intergration so I'm a bit afraid to put in my 2 cents, but here goes:

I think that thezugpost.ch is one of the best integration tools I've ever seen.  In order to chat with the neighbors or to make small talk in the cafeteria with co-workers, one needs something to actually talk about.  thezugpost.ch can help bring us closer to the locals by letting us know what they're thinking and writing about without having to read an entire newspaper everyday -- no easy task for newcomers.  Then, as we gain more experience in the language, we can start reading the Zuger Zeitung for ourselves and understand the background of the articles we're reading, which is another stumbling block when reading in another language.

As long as your articles reflect what's happening in the local community, which they do, no one has any room to criticise.

I think that thezugpost.ch is great for foreigners and Swiss alike.  Thanks !

I am writing in response to the article about the noise complaints at the Ruetli Restuarant. My husband and I lived above the resturant for well over three years. Herr and Frau Zenger were always gracious to us during our stay there. On special occassion the music went past midnight, but those times were RARE. I will also mention that Herr Zenger would always invite us when these events were planned so that it would be enjoyable for us too!! Yes, a resturant has noise - if someone wants peace, I assume they wouldn't live above a restuarant! The Ruetli is a charming cuddle of Swiss culture - music, friends and exceptional food. We are deeply saddened to hear that they have decided to leave and sincerely hope that we get the possiblity of the beauty of the Ruetli!!

With sincere regards,
Simon and Erin Schellhammer
