International School of Central Switzerland to close down

According to the national Blick newspaper, the International School of Central Switzerland (ISCS) is to close down, and indeed as soon as next month, on account of financial problems.

Parents have been informed of the situation at the private school, which charges annual fees between CHF 25,000 and CHF 30,000. Over 100 pupils currently attend the school, with 25 teachers on the payroll.

The cantonal education authority is aware of the problem and is in contact with various other schools in the canton to find places for the pupils affected.
