Cyclist sustains serious injuries after falling from bridge over River Lorze

A 38-year-old cyclist sustained serious injuries after falling from the bridge over the gorge of the river Lorze (the Lorzentobelbrücke) on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened shortly before 12.45 pm as the cyclist was heading downhill on Ageristrasse. As to how the accident occurred, this is not yet clear.

On arrival at the scene, first responders ascertained the cyclist had sustained serious injuries to the head, whereupon he was taken to hospital.
