Barn destroyed by fire

A barn on the Zugerberg was totally destroyed by a fire on Saturday evening. Fortunately, no-one was injured.

It was around 8 pm that the Zug Voluntary Fire Brigade were alerted to the blaze. As a result of the barn’s exposed location, the fire itself and the plume of smoke arising from it were visible for miles around. Fortunately, thanks to their swift response and skills, the firemen soon had the blaze under control, nearby Blasenbergstrasse having to be closed for some time.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
