Ägeri-on-Ice, Ice-skating by the lake

The Birkenwäldli ice rink in Unterägeri will soon be back, and hobby sportsmen will be able to show off their skating skills again from 23 November to 5 January. Whether curling, fondue or Christmas dinner, there is now something for everyone, and reservations can already be placed.

This almost legendary event was originally launched by Martin Lohr, Guido Iten and Hugo Nussbaumer in the winters of 2012, 2013 and 2014, and "Aegeri on Ice" became a winter ritual for many people.

The concept of “Aegeri on Ice” will remain the same as before: with a pin costing CHF 5, the ice field can be used for six weeks, and will also be available free-of-charge for school classes.

The Birkenwäldli also offers culinary delicacies. Warm drinks and fondue guarantee the winter atmosphere in the ‘Fonduestübli’ with the party lodge having room for more than 150 people, while the Company Chalet can be used for corporate events such as Christmas dinner or receptions, and holds around 56 persons. Reservations can be made by phone or online via the homepage.
