Zug Bull Market

The SBZ Association organises these traditional markets in Zug and Sargans to facilitate the buying and selling of breeding-animals and to encourage trading.

This large-scale exhibition market for the Swiss Brown breed always takes place at the beginning of September in Zug. 200 - 250 bulls are presented and offered for sale over two days. On the morning of the first market day the animals are assessed and given placings. During the afternoon of the second day, approx. 40 cows in calf or that have recently calved are auctioned. This event marks the start of the autumn market season.
