Workman taken to hospital with serious burns to his legs

A workman had to be taken to a specialist clinic for treatment to serious burns to his legs on Wednesday morning.
 
The incident happened at around 8 am as the 43-year-old Spanish workman was using equipment to cut through metal during the course of demolition work on a property on Eschenrain in the municipality.
 
It was thought a flying spark led to the man’s overalls catching fire, but the police are looking into the precise circumstances of the incident.
