Woman driver escapes injury

A woman driver was lucky to escape injury after she lost control over her vehicle on a snow-covered A4a motorway on Thursday morning.
 
The incident happened shortly after 10 30 am as the 27-year-oldwoman was driving by the Baar access road towards the direction of Lucerne.

Possibly as a result of the prevailing weather conditions, she lost control over her vehicle as she manoeuvred from the right-hand lane to the overtaking one. This resulted in her colliding first with the crash barriers on the central reservation and then with a lorry near the access road.
 
Fortunately, no-one was injured but, as mentioned, damage to the tune of CHF 90,000 was caused.

For a while after the incident only one lane was able to be used by ensuing traffic.
