A woman who was caught by police driving at almost twice the speed limit in an urban area blamed her three-year-old son for the incident. The 36-year-old woman was clocked driving through the centre of the village of Hünenberg on Wednesday afternoon at 98 km/h in what is clearly marked as a 50 km/h zone. When policed asked her to explain her reckless driving, she said that her three-year-old son enjoyed it when she accelerated.

 

Police confiscated the woman's driving licence on the spot and was taken to the police station where charges were pressed.
