Wheel comes off trailer as it is towed by lorry on A14 motorway

A wheel of a trailer came off while it was being towed by a lorry on the A14 motorway on Saturday afternoon. Fortunately, no-one was injured.
 
The incident happened shortly before 12.30 pm as a 42-year-old lorry driver was proceeding with his vehicle from Gisikon towards Rütihof. For reasons yet unknown, the wheel of the trailer came off and rolled over the lanes before coming to a standstill, a recovery vehicle having to attend to remove it.
 
As mentioned, no-one was injured but the police would like to hear from anyone who felt they may have been endangered by the incident.
