Two sets of road works to start shortly

Cholrainstrasse in the municipality of Menzingen is to be closed for three days in the section between Schmittli and Brüggli in order for re-surfacing work to be carried out.

The work will actually start on Wednesday 23 July and continue until Friday 25 July. A diversion via Schmittli Nidfuren and Edlibach will be in operation and clearly indicated. The Cantonal Planning Department (KBD) said that access to all properties along the route would be guaranteed at all times.

As the work is dependent on good weather, it may have to be postponed.

Road works will also begin on Hünenbergerstrasse in on Monday 4 August and continue until the middle of October. The KBD is carrying out the work in cooperation with the WWZ AG utility company, who will be laying new water and electricity pipes, and Swisscom, who will be laying cables.

This work will be undertaken in stages with temporary traffic lights in operation. Access to adjoining properties is guaranteed at all times, bar a few exceptions. In the event of inclement weather, these works, too, may have to be postponed.
