Tschüli Müller and his team win "Every Evening Regatta Week" trophy

Over the course of last week some 25 yachts competed in the “Every Evening Regatta Week”, testing each team’s skills in all kinds of weather, from perfect conditions at the beginning of the week to storms, heavy rain and wind speeds of up to 2-4 on the Beaufort scale on the Thursday. It was not until the last race on the Friday that it was clear who was going to win the competition, with Tschüli Müller and his team on Corbo taking advantage of a light breeze to come first, beating Raphael Näf and his team on Vuvuzela to second place.
 
The 100 or so members of Zug Yacht Club duly met up at Brandenberg restaurant on the Friday evening for the presentation of the trophies, with Urs Oldani and his crew on Esse 850 coming in third place, followed by Hajö Spiess and his team on Heron.
 
All agreed that this “Every Evening Regatta Week” was very much the highlight of the yachting season each year.
 
Nevertheless, the season is not over with the Rigi Anker Cup and the Zugersee Cup races to take place on Saturday 27 August.
